Does anyone know how much the celebs are getting paid to turn up to Star invites, or is it just a win - win, all done to generate positive media buzz?

Finally, after what seemed like hours for Russell Crowe and beautiful wife, Danielle Spencer did the red, fresh off dinner at the revamped casino aka integrated entertainment complex.

For the record, Stevie Wonder did not do the red carpet. Promoters across Australia, if not the world, are attempting to find out how much money Mr Wonder is making for his intimate appearances at The Star, and that's likely to be something that is kept well under wraps for a while yet.

The Star may be a bit of a media darling at the moment, but nothing lasts forever. The Star would do well to go out of their way to also impress news media who have been quite supportive of the Echo Entertainment owned complex, since they first announced it was going to get a massive makeover.

We've heard that the next trump card for more news headlines will be the official opening of The Darling, the 5 star boutique lifestyle hotel and spa.

Just how long it may take The Star to recoup its almost billion dollar casino revamp investment is unknown, but Echo Entertainment looks to be in this for the long haul, so good on them.

The beautiful British actress of stage and screen, Carol Royle, photographed earlier this month at her home, with her iconic portrait, painted in 2005 by expressionist artist Stephen B Whatley.

Carol Royle is the daughter of actor Derek Royle and film make-up artist Jane Royle, whose talents were to be seen in many films; from The Rocky Horror Show (1975) to the Harry Potter films (2001-2004).

Carol Royle's extraordinary beauty and great talent as an actress has shone on television since the 1970s in numerous television productions; including Blakes 7 (1978), The Professionals (1978-79), Bergerac (1983), Oxbridge Blues (1983), The Bill (1996-2001), Heartbeat (1997-2003), Casualty (1990-2010) & Doctors (2005-2011).

The actress has also starred in an eclectic range of theatre productions over the years, including Shakespeare's Hamlet (for which she was acclaimed by the London Drama Critics), Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest; & Festen, a British stage adaption of the Danish film of the same name.

Her film credits include The Greek Tycoon (1978), Tuxedo Warrior(1982); and Miss In Her Teens - a period drama also featuring Ian McKellen; due for release in 2012.

Ms Royle is also blessed with a wonderful eloquent voice; that is invaluable in voiceover work in commercials and documentaries.

Carol Royle exhuded a spirit of grace and serenity as she gazed out at her garden during the 2005 portrait sitting; and calls her portrait "wonderful". She remains one of Stephen B Whatley's favourite sitters - for her great patience, warmth and kindness as he painted; that has lead to a continued heartfelt correspondence.

Every day, the theaters being constructed inside of The Robinson Film Center start to look less like construction sites and more like actual theaters. This view of the Celebrity Theater (still available for a naming opportunity) is one of the best I have seen. Those holes in the wall are "port windows" - two for 35mm film projection, and several for digital sources.

Jeff Rowley Launches Limited Edition "The Moment" Collection of Surfing Photographs

Big Wave Surfer Jeff Rowley has collaborated with surf photographers around the world to launch his collection of Limited Edition surfing photographs.

Jeff Rowley has named the collection of his surfing photographs as ‘The Moment’, based on his most significant surfing moments shaping his life.

Rowley has hand selected each unique photograph taken in some of the most challenging environments, by the best surf photographers in the world including Tim Mckenna and Stuart Gibson.

The first two photographs in Rowley’s ‘The Moment’ collection include surfing Cloudbreak in Fiji during what was dubbed 'swell of the decade' in July 2011, and charging massive Teahupoo in Tahiti, one of the most dangerous and shallow reef breaks in the world.

On his photograph series, Rowley said “each photo represents a moment in time where everything in my life changed, where the impossible became possible – and everyone has a moment like that in their life”.

Even though these prints make eye catching wall art, Rowley believes “these photographs are about the moments that change your life and define who you are”.

“For me, the moment on these waves was like conquering Everest – I believe everyone has their own Everest they conquer in life”.

"Life is not about the number of breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away".

Rowley is is donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the prints to Australian Children's Charity, Cottage by the Sea, who each year provides short-term beachside holidays and respite care for more than 900 children and families in need.

“It means a lot to me to be raising money for Cottage by the Sea, they give children going through a hard time the holiday of their lives – memories they will remember for the rest of their lifetime”, Rowley said.

There are only 100 Limited Edition prints available for each unique photograph in the collection, selling for 0 (AUD) each for a high quality canvas print (approximately 75 cm x 100 cm), come with a story written by Jeff Rowley on his ‘moment’ and includes delivery anywhere in the world.

A small number of prints will also be auctioned during Cottage by the Sea fundraising events throughout the year.

Thu Tran introduces the Food Party videos that she played for the live show. The strange style, cadence, and occasionally deadpan delivery of her words in person precisely matched her performance from the great and awesome Food Party TV show. I also took a couple videos of her introducing her videos, so check those out later.

Thu Tran drinks National Bohemian beer and smokes American Spirit cigarettes. At least, she did tonight.
