Equinox - Corning "Hot Glass Show"

The Corning "Hot Glass Show" is a permanent fixture on Celebrity Equinox and the three other Celebrity cruise ships of the same class. Three expert glassblowers create works of art from molten glass in a small theater on deck 15. They rotate in three roles, gaffer (leader), helper, and narrator. Tlhe show is sponsored by Corning Glass Works, and operated by Corning Museum of Glass, a non-profit affiliate of the company.
This photo shows much of the site. The oven where the raw glass is melted is in the center. There is a second oven for detail work beyond the right edge.

Some of the glass works made at the Corning Hot Glass Show. Quite a variety. These are the smalleer pieces. Larger and more elaborate pieces were displayed near the restaurant entrance.
Janet and I watched as the orange and black clownfish was created.
