Got some cool DVDs for Christmas!
1)"RED" is a short film (~30min, with 300min of extras) that includes/is based on the famous Tube Bar prank calls, which were the basis for Bart Simpson prank calling bartender Moe Szyslak in The Simpsons. Moe is directly based on Red.
2) Some more eye candy. Hopefully this disc rips well; last year's AV3x has proven to be strangely un-rippable. This one came with refraction glasses -- and incense! haha.
3) 12 Oz. Mouse, one of the most confusing things I've ever watched. An AdultSwim cartoon made by people who were influencedby David Lynch. The animation is deliberately drawn like a 4-year-old, and the story is... maddeningly nonsensical. Except it's all tied together at the end! (For instance, the entire series takes place during the same minute, and the minute hand on the clocks doesn't change until the final episode.) It's about 2.5 hrs if you watch the whole season as a movie, which is what we intend to do.
4) Atari Teenage Riot: Sixteen Years Of Video Material. Unfortunately for me, I didn't put the 2-disc version on my wishlist and stupidly put the 1-disc version on it. Maybe that was all that was available. But I have since ordered the 2-disc version (only 1,000 exist), so: Anyone want to buy the 1-disc Atari Teenage Riot DVD from me?
